St Cecilia’s Parish Forum Minutes, Wednesday 26th November.
Present: Fr. Conor, Dcn Eddie, Dcn Ronnie, Lyndsey Woodward, Sr Petrina, Marie Crist, Mary Dillon, Mary Kenny, Rachel Griffiths
Apologises: Teresa Routledge, Simon Holleron,
Eucharistic Ministers: Rachel will ask for volunteers for the Christmas Masses this week.
With You Always: Fr C will arrange a meeting with parents after Christmas. Bishop Tom is confirmed as doing the Confirmations at one of the St Cecilia Masses.
Baptism Group: A meeting is arranged for Friday 9th January in St Matthews at 7pm for all Baptism catechists.
Little Church: Last weekend there was no Little Church; Fr C suggested a rota for Catechist’s. Sr Petrina requested more cushions for the children to sit on.
Altar Servers/Guild of St Stephen: Mass in October went well. Everyone has now rec’d their medals.
UCM: Bi Monthly Mass went well.
Legion of Mary: The president has asked Lyndsey to advertise the Legion in the newsletter again.
Safeguarding: Nothing to report.
Readers: Marie mentioned no readers are down for Midnight Mass, a list will go up for volunteers.

Pilgrimage to Lourdes: 16 people have put their name down so far for the trip.
Confessions: Fr C cannot praise Confessions here enough!
Bereavement Group: To be reviewed at a later date.
Bereavement Mass: Went really well.
Family Shoe box appeal: 115 boxes have been sent from the 2 parishes.
Missionary Appeal: £179.14 collected.
Memorial for Deceased Infants: Received the quote of £5300 which split between the 2 parishes is ok. Work will start next week. Fr C is hoping to have a ceremony around Christmas time to officially open the garden. People can donate towards the cost of plants and shrubs.
Sr Roseleen: Will leave on Tuesday to go on her sabbatical year to Kenya after being part of our community for 7yrs. We wish her a safe journey and hope to see her soon.
PA Events: Thursday 4th December – A spiritual talk by Sr Maria Natella O.P. to talk to us about St. Dominic, Wednesday 10th December – Reconciliation in St Oswald’s at 7pm
Hymn Book: Fr C will order new hymn books for both parishes, Marie will do a count.
Weekday Mass: After much deliberation it has been decided Mass will change to the new time of 9.10am from Monday 5th January 2015.
