ST. MATTHEW’S PARISH FORUM MEETING

Women’s Group: Next meeting Wednesday 6th March 2013, when the 2013 Tea Party will be discussed. Rota organised for SPUC collection – White Flower Appeal - weekend 9th/10th March 2013. Some of the ladies are to attend the Golden Years Roadshow at the Marriott Hotel on Friday 8th March 2013.
Welcome Group: Going well. Fr. Conor stated that the group will be distributing Pope Benedict XVI prayer cards.
Prayer Group: No update.
North Liverpool Foodbank: 33 full bags donated in the first 6 weeks of 2013.
Surveys: Progressing very slowly, no major updates as yet.
Quarant’ Ore - 40 Hour 2013: Confirmed dates 4th - 7th July 2013 at St. Cecilia’s.
Bereavement Group: Group progressing. Cards have now been sent out.
Family Shoe Box Appeal 2012: Reply and pictures to be displayed in church.
CaFE – Catholic Faith Exploration - Lenten Reflection: ‘Come to Me – Knowing Mercy and Forgiveness’ – Wednesday 13th March at 7pm.
Ministry of Acolyte: Ronny will receive this ministry on Saturday 9th March at St. Helen’s Church, at 12 noon.
CaFE – Catholic Faith Exploration - The Saints: Dave to report back to Fr. Conor.
Parish Pilgrimage to Walsingham: Booked for 17th/19th May 2013. No further vacancies.
Lent:
Friday mornings: Mass 7am – St. Matthew’s. Friday evenings: Stations of the Cross at 7pm – St. Cecilia’s.
Pastoral Area Reconciliation Service: Wednesday 20th March at 7pm at St. Matthew’s.
Mass of the Lord’s Supper (28th March): 7pm at St. Matthew’s – Watching until 10pm.
Good Friday (29th March):
Morning Prayer 6.00am at St. Matthew’s.
Stations of the Cross in the garden at St. Matthew’s, at 11am; followed by Confessions until 12.30pm.
Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion at 3pm at St. Cecilia’s.
Holy Saturday (30th March): Easter Vigil 8.30pm at St. Matthew’s.
Easter Day (31st March): Dawn Mass 6.15am at St. Matthew’s. Easter Day Mass 9am at St. Cecilia’s.
